According to traditional medicine, Kencur are used as medicine with the purpose of reducing pain caused by rheumatism. In addition, this root also works to treat symptoms related to the gastrointestinal tract and stomach.
Ginger is plants of the family Zingiberaceae.Ginger tree is a small, perennial tree, 0.6 to 1m tall.
Rhizome grows into tuber, gradually becomigng fibrous. Flower axis comes from the root, long to 20cm, inflorescences close together, flowers 5cm long, 2-3cm wide, corolla greenish yellow, petal edges and purple stamens.
Ginger root contains 2-3% of essential oil, in addition to plastic (5%), fat (3.7%), starch and spicy.

Regarding the output of exported ginger, China and India are the two countries with the largest ginger export market share with the same 18%. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s export ginger accounts for a modest proportion of the world’s total export of ginger with only 1%.
